Sam and I are gearing up to climb Everest this spring (April - June 2014). In 2007 Sam and I went up Mt. Elbrus for our uni summer hols and realised we quite liked climbing. Since then we've enjoyed a number of fun climbing and ski touring holidays and have set ourselves the goal to try and climb the heightest summit on every continent. Mt Elbrus (2007), Mt. Mckinley (2008), Mt Kilimanjaro (2010), Mt. Aconcagua (2012), down we now want to try and tackle the heightest beast of them all - Everest.

For 2 months (April & May) we will mostly be living at basecamp 5,364 metres (17,598 ft) whilst we acclimatise.

We'd like to raise some mullah for Alzheimer's society ahead of the climb. Pretty please spare some change for this worthy cause!

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
