Story
Ash was diagnosed with Pleural Mesothelioma, a terminal condition caused by exposure to asbestos that affects the pleura - lining of the lung on the 2nd November 2019 with a prognosis of term of life to be 12 months with treatment.
Ash despite being devastated by the prognosis took on fighting this as his next challenge, having treatment with the aim to minimise symptoms and maximise his quality of life, with a hope that the 12 month prognosis would be lengthened.
Sadly Ash lost his fight with mesothelioma on the 4th November 2020. Ash showed such courage and bravery, was a real inspiration to all who knew him and above all, kind, cheeky, funny and selfless.
Ash's wish was that a just giving page be set up to raise money for Mesothelioma UK in his memory. Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will not be a donations box at the funeral therefore if anyone would like to make a contribution please use this page.
Additionally, as a family we are doing a sponsored walk for Mesothelioma UK in February 2021 to raise funds in memory of Ash. All monies will go to Mesothelioma UK to support the much needed funding they require.
