Story

Hi All,

Firstly can I thank you for taking the time to read what I have written.

Friends and family who know me think I am mad as I really love running.Equally I have the utmost respect for the military and the job they perform, so when a friend suggested I do a sponsored run for the charity he works for, I thought what a great idea.

ABF The Soldiers’ Charity is a charity for soldiers, for life. They provide financial assistance to all soldiers and their families when in need.

Even when a soldier leaves the Army, through this charity they are eligible for help. Half their money is given directly to individuals to help in areas such as debt relief, mobility assistance, education bursaries, care home fees and respite breaks. The other half is given as grants to other charities.

What is fantastic about this charity is that they also provide assistance to the families of soldiers who have fallen in active duty.In the past two years there has been a thirty per cent rise in requests for help and this is expected to rise.

If you are able to support myself and the charity I am running for by making a donation that is fantastic. Equally if you are able to show your support by passing this onto your friends and family who might be in a position to help, I would be very appreciative.

Thank you again
