Story
Cancer. That dreaded word. It's tough enough as it is with all the appointments, treatment, sickness, hair loss, inability to work, and hundreds of pounds spent on travel, parking and medication.
Then imagine adding in the factor of living miles from your local hospital or having to find a way to get to appointments as your spouse is trying to work extra time to support the family as you're too ill to work.
I've seen first hand how tough even just a trip to the kitchen can be when you're unwell, let alone all the way to a hospital. Hope for Tomorrow is an incredible national charity that are combatting this by bringing cancer care closer to patients' homes with their Mobile Cancer Care Units. For more information, I have shared a handful of links below where you can read about the charity, what it does, patient's stories and much more.
I will be taking part in Hope for Tomorrow's wingwalk challenge event where I'll be attached to a 1940’s Boeing Stearman biplane, flown by one of the highly experienced wing walking display pilots. There will be a series of flypasts, zoom climbs, steep dives and banks in front of the family and friends at speeds of up to 130mph. I'm a little nervous to say the least!
It would really mean so much to me if you could donate anything at all, even just a few pennies will get me closer to my goal. Thank you so so much if you do, it's truly appreciated by myself, everyone at Hope for Tomorrow, and most importantly those who are suffering with cancer and are in need of help.
