Run Ally, RUN!

Cheshire Half Marathon · 4 November 2012
So, now I have finished University and am seemingly having a 'year out' before I hit the real world of work, I have decided, in what feels like a midlife crisis, to run a half marathon. (I heard your mouth drop!). OK so I'm not exactly a 'runner' but I promise to train hard, get the best time I can and finally put these lanky legs of mine to some good use so please do dig deep and give whatever you can!
The charity I have chosen is Alzheimer's Research UK and here is why...
"Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. As research experts, we fund world-class pioneering scientists to find preventions, treatments and a cure for dementia.
There are over 820,000 people in the UK living with dementia today and this number will increase as our population ages. Around every person with dementia are family members and friends, in fact 25 million of us in the UK know someone affected by dementia.
Research is the only answer. We desperately need new treatments, preventions and a cure for dementia, but research is desperately underfunded. With no Government funding we rely entirely on our generous supporters who are so important to our mission to defeat dementia."
