Story

Hello all,

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our Half Marathon page for Combat Stress.

Everyone loves a challenge  and this is ours for 2013.  Frankly we think we may have bitten off more than we can chew, but a half marathon was decided the way to go...  Neither of us are particuarly natural runners, and combined with new job (inc new country) and more uni work than you can shake a stick at it all adds to the challenge that lies ahead.

Why have we chosen Combat Stress?  This charity currently supports 5200 serving and ex serving personnel who are trying to work through their conditions including PTSD.  While people are increasingly aware of these condditions there is still a long way to go in helping and identifying people in need of help.  As you know, Shiv has and does work closely with this so its particuarly poignant.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Please dig deep and donate now, even £1 helps and will help us in our joint (and rather large) fundraising traget of £740.00.

Thank you so much,

Alex & Shivvy.
