Story
This National Epilepsy week (18-24 May), I'm taking part in the Steps Challenge by conquering my chosen mountain.
I've chosen Everest ... 150,000 Steps .
Given my average week is 30,000 Steps it's a commitment and challenge to do 150k in one week without any prep .
As you may know Epilepsy is a cause close to my heart and in National Epilepsy week I want to do my little bit to help this cause .
My mother an Independent, Strong Women developed Epilepsy following removal and treatment of a 10 cm brain tumor , when my mum has a seizure it is like a stroke and so had been diagnosed incorrectly on many occasion - it's called an absence seizure.
My beautiful , young cousin was also diagnosed with Epilepsy in the same year after a seizure on a girls holiday and has to be aware of triggers such as lack of sleep , stress , drinks ...
I feel so fortunate to have lived a life not thinking about any such things and to still have my mum after her challenges with her brain tumour and epilepsy I hope that by raising a few funds I can help other families cope with a diagnosis they may not know how to handle .
Thank you for anything you can afford to give in these difficult times
