Hello Everyone, Jesi and I are running the Hackney Half Marathon on Sunday 21st May!!!! GAHHHH!!! We’ll be running for a small grass roots charity that is incredibly close to us....and that I also work for; LABURNUM BOAT CLUB. Laburnum is the hidden gem of Hackney, providing support and opportunities to some of London's most disadvantaged young people, all through the form of paddle sports. Laburnum is an all inclusive hub of abilities, supporting those with additional needs, those facing mental health hurdles and those in community that need a space to make friends and stay active.

We're not a charity that will receive hundreds of thousands of pounds from sponsorship from the Hackney half, however funding is critical for us to keep our gates open and to continue providing a much loved and needed resource to the community.

As someone that has been coming to Laburnum boat club from the age of 9, it's helped shape me as a person and given me opportunities and memories I'll take with me for the rest of my life. It would mean so much if you could donate anything you can to this fabulous charity. Just £5 pays for a child to spend a day at the club giving much needed respite to their family. £100 pays for a years membership. Please help us carry on the brilliant work that we do here! Help us keep this Hackney institution thriving not just surviving.
