Story
I will be doing the Oxford Town and Gown 10K Run on 11 May 2014, in memory of my brother-in-law Mayo Charles Marriott who had Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and died in 2012.
He was an amazing man who was able to live a remarkably full and rich life despite what at times seemed like overwhelming obstacles; we all miss him terribly.
Last year my two children, Tommy and Chloe, did a sponsored "Wheelathon" with their friends in Chiswick House grounds and managed to raise over £4,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign which was totally amazing! I am not as fast as my kids on their scooters but I am now stepping up to do my bit for this brilliant charity.
A number of very serious conditions come under the Muscular Dystrophy umbrella and they all deserve support in funding crucial medical research, training/development of professionals and support for those who are affected. Please give whatever donation you feel able to (however small) in order support the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign's important work.
Thank you!
