We are the UK wide charity working to support seriously ill children

Story

3200 miles to raise £500,000 for seriously ill children

Please support us this summer as we join together to make a difference to seriously ill children and their families all over the UK, facing the most difficult of times.

There are 54 children’s hospices across the UK supporting families of seriously ill children. But with over 99,000 seriously ill children, hospices are struggling to raise the funds they need to continue the vital work they do.

CHAT UK (Children’s Hospices Across the UK) believes that every child with a life limiting or life threatening condition should have access to that same level of care and support.

That’s why in June 2022, children’s nurse Francesca is cycling 3,200 miles across the UK to each of the hospices to raise £500,000 and awareness for children’s hospices nationally.

The money raised will go towards the Together for Short Lives National Fundraising Scheme, which splits the money raised between all 54 children’s hospices.

The Race

We’re on a mission to match Francesca’s 3,200 miles with children across the UK working together to travel the same distance - be it by bike, foot, wheelchair or any other means possible - and helping her raise £500,000.

Just for fun, we will be racing against Francesca to see who can cover the 3,200 miles first.

Francesca’s cycle starts on 20th June and ends on 28th August 2022. The question is ……can we beat her? We think so…….with your help.

Please help us raise as much money as possible for seriously ill children all over the UK by donating now.

My Personal Challenge

My name is Alexander and I’m 5 years old (very nearly 6!). On 10th July 2022 I’m cycling 5 miles to raise £200 for seriously ill children around the UK. This is very special to me and my family as my older brother, Joshua, was cared for at a local children’s hospice before he gained his angel wings.
