Hello
I've signed up to do the 3 Peaks Challenge in June with work colleagues, largely because I seem to so rarely work at the same place for this long.
Anyway, this involves climbing the 3 highest mountains in the UK, Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, in just 24 hours. It's a 2,900 metre ascent over 27 miles. What's the worst that can happen?
We are doing the 3 Peaks Challenge for Demelza Hospice Care for Children, Demelza supports over 700 life-limited children and their families across South East London, East Sussex, and Kent. Demelza has two hospices, one in Eltham, Greenwich and one in Sittingbourne, Kent as well as a community nursing team based in East Sussex.
The charity, which has been in existence since 1998, offers respite, symptom control, end-of-life care and bereavement support for families with children who are either life limited or suffer from conditions which mean they need a lot of specialist care. They look after babies to teenagers and offer respite to allow their families a much deserved break. Facilities include a multi-sensory room, soft play area, a jacuzzi, and the Inclusion Zone for young people
As you can see I'm doing the challenge for a really deserving cause so both Demelza and I would appreciate your sponsorship and support. If you're a UK Taxpayer, make sure you tick the Gift Aid box!!
Dig deep, I know where you live.
