London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·
Two years on and my body and mind have just about recovered. I was lucky enough to be offered a Good for Age place for this year's marathon and so despite a healthy dose of scepticism here I am!
After having clocked over 373miles/600km in training, I am thoroughly looking forward to the day and hoping my body will hold up until the 26th mile! This time my target is to enjoy the day and remember crossing the finish line!
I am raising money for a charity called Borne who have been a huge help to
a family very close to me and many others. During a terribly emotional and
critical time their support was invaluable and made a huge difference to not
just the rather early new arrival but the wider family. Borne is a medical
research charity based in Imperial College School of Medicine‘s facilities at
Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Their aim is to identify the causes of
premature birth to save lives, prevent disability and create lifelong health
for mothers and babies.
Therefore I would be very grateful if you could make any donation to this wonderful cause.
Many thanks
Keeno
