Hello and welcome to my first JustGiving Page. 

A Squadron, 1st The Queen's Dragoon Guards are currently deployed on the last British Army rotation of Afghanistan - working to advise and mentor the Afghan National Army's Regional Corps Battle School in Southern Helmand Province. 

We have decided to show our support for Latch - the Welsh Children's Cancer Charity by fundraising through an arduous endurance event. This is in the form of a multi stage team effort to cover the distance from Helmand Province to Cardiff. 

In order, this is a 3430 mile bike ride, followed by a 22 miles 'row' to simulate crossing the channel to Dover and finishing off with a 227 mile run from Dover into Cardiff. 

This will be completed within the gym at our current location in the 46 degree heat. We will complete this event in and around 24 hrs with 16 personnel taking part.
