Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Well I'm about to star in my very own movie. "RUN FAT BOY RUN II - This time it's personal".

Not only is my aim to finish The Great North Run this year, but I also hope to complete the course before the sun sets and everyone else has packed off for home. This is a totally new concept to me, I am not a long distance runner by any stretch of the imagination. Just ask any of my old football team mates or any of my current work colleagues. My moral was and still is "catch the man quickly or make it look like you didn't want to in the first place".

My wife, Laura, ran the Great North Run last year and really enjoyed the experience and so she's convinced me to have a go this year. Therefore any contribution, no matter how large or small, will mean so much to me. It will make every ground shaking, bone crunching step over the half marathon worth while.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. 35,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year and 1 man dies from prostate cancer every hour, that's 10,000 men each year. Obviously the folks at The Prostate Cancer Charity are doing everything they can to rid the world of this nasty despicable disease and we want to help make that happen.
