Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and joining my 2010 Marathon adventure!
I'm running in aid of World Emergency Relief, a leading international relief and development organisation which works to feed and protect poor children all over the world. They send food, medical support and aid to the world’s most vulnerable children who are caught in the midst of disasters and tragedies. They also work in partnership with community leaders to develop long-term solutions that are best suited to their local needs, in 15 countries across Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Central America and the Caribbean Basin.
Over the first 4 weeks of training I've clocked up over 90 miles, got through 3 GPS watches, run through snow and horizontal rain, scaled a 7 foot wall that wasn't on my map, and beaten 3 out of the 4 trains I raced... but that's just the start... with your support I promise to keep on training through whatever nasty weather this spring can throw at me; and you can keep up to date on my progress at my training blog - http://www.realbuzz.com/blogs/u/alexalder/alex-s-london-marathon-adventure/ - where your comments, encouraging or otherwise, will be very welcome!
I would really appreciate any support you can give me... and the exciting news is that, on top of any Gift Aid, the nice people at the Barclays Community team will double all donations!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So - come and join my marathon adventure, and thank you for your support!
