I'm very lucky as I have always had somewhere to stay and people to watch out for me. Unfortunately this is not the case for everyone and often it is due to circumstances beyond their control.

So now it's time for me to give up my comfy king size bed and spend a night in a sleeping bag on some cardboard. It's not going to be an easy night but it will be nothing compared to what others less fortunate than me have to endure every day all across the country. 

The money I raise will help others in Exeter (via Exeter YMCA) who are sleeping rough or 'sofa surfing' get back on their feet and back into a proper home. Its the first step to rebuilding lives and one that we all take for granted.

Please remember that there are many unseen homeless people in our community who are struggling with all sorts of issues, so this is not just about the the visible homeless who we see on the streets.
