I am embarking on a very exciting journey this coming January as a Volunteer Communications Manager for Raleigh in Nepal! 

Raleigh is an extraordinary charity which captured my attention almost 10 years ago. Their mission is simple: create lasting economic and environmental change by empowering youth.

Nepal is the poorest country in Asia and suffers from huge economic inequality. The 2015 earthquake still impacts many rural economies who have lost access to clean water. Raleigh employs young local and British volunteers to help make those communities more resilient to future environmental catastrophies by: building long-term access to clean water, educating on the importance of safe water, sanitation and good hygiene as well as skills training.

After 9 years working in the advertising industry, it's time to give back and use that experience in a meaningful way. 

I am donating 3 months to Raleigh in Nepal as a Communications Officer and using my skills to bring awareness and excitement for their awesome projects! And to fundraise in the meantime, I am running 193km - the width of Nepal!

*Donations will go to Raleigh International to fund their projects. Raleigh will pay for my food and board (I'll be a vegetarian sleeping in a dorm for 3 months!). All other expenses - visas, flights, vaccinations etc - will be self-funded!
