Story
The charity I work for are looking to build a sensory garden for the clients that reside at our care homes.
A sensory garden is a specially designed area, meant to stimulate the senses of people with learning disabilities. As well as benefitting from the therapeutic properties of the sensory garden, service users will be able to take ownership of the garden by potting plants, cutting flowers etc, which will help encourage independence, wellbeing, and provide a sense of achievement.
This area will provide a safe, secure and familiar environment that is accessible to all service users with all level of developmental disabilities, helping them to progress in the future.
