Story
For those who have known me for a long time, you'll know I always hated running until a few years ago! I refused to run 5k let alone a full marathon! Well, on April 23rd 2023, that all changes when Charlie Brown and I will run the London Marathon!
We are running in memory of Paul Brown, Charlie's father who sadly passed away in September 2022. He will be in our hearts and minds throughout all the training and on the day itself as we put one foot in front of the next through the streets of London.
We are both raising money for the British Heart Foundation and would be grateful of any support. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target.
I'll try to post updates on how the training is going and any tips & tricks are welcome!
