Story
As you all know, I have grown up living with facial disfigurement and have always been on the receieving end of amazing support - not just from family, friends and colleagues, but also the NHS. All my life I have been treated with amazing skill, professionalism and sensitivity by a range of professionals within the NHS which has enabled me to be the person that I am today. These same professionals work tirelessly, through the charity Facing The World to provide the same treatment for children across the globe.
The care which I have recieved is not universally available throughout the world, and the charity 'Facing The World' is dedicated to changing that for children with facial disfigurement living in less developed countries. The work the charity undertakes transforms the lives of the children (and their families) which they treat and enable those children to grow up and become independent, confident adults who are fully accepted into the society in which they live.
If you get the chance, visit the charity's website www.facingtheworld.net to find out more. Any donation that you can make, would be fantastic and gratefully recieved. I will be running the Conwy half marathon later this month. I cannot promise an record breaking time, but I will smile my way round.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
