Story
I have been lucky to get a place in the 2019 London Marathon and will be running through the streets of London on April 28th. I've been training since the end of 2018 and aim to complete the course in less than 4 hours having not ran a marathon before.
I want to take the opportunity to raise money for the Stroke Association, in memory of my Nan, Doris. She had a major stroke, from which she never fully recovered, and fought courageously before passing away several years later. I'm sure she would be happy that I could put this opportunity to good use.
I would really appreciate it if you can donate any amount you can in support of the great work that the Stroke Association does on a daily basis.
When a stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community. With more donations and support from you, we can rebuild even more lives.
