Story
I am attempting the Everest in the Alps Challenge where I will ascend the height of Mount Everest (8848 metres) in four days in the Alps. It has been described as the toughest four days on skis and equivalent to running 3 marathons back to back. I will be burning up to 12000 calories per day.
I am doing this in memory of my friend Roger Smith who was a rugby team mate at Sevenoaks rugby club and fishing buddy of mine. We sadly lost Roger to a brain tumour which has cruelly robbed his young daughter Jemima of her Dad, and friends and family of a much loved man.
