Story
Inspired by watching the London Marathon this year, we have decided to run it in 2019! It has been a tough year for the family, and Muscular Dystrophy have provided a huge amount of support to us for which we are very grateful. In return, we are aiming to raise as much money as we can for the vital work they provide to us and other families.
In the lead up to the Edinburgh Half Marathon 2018, we managed to raise over £2,500 for Muscular Dystrophy UK. We couldn't believe the level of support we received from friends and family, and would like to thank everyone for their kindness and generosity.
Neither of us have run a marathon before, and the thought of running 26.2 miles already seems daunting. On top of this, having FSHD Muscular Dystrophy will present a further challenge for Alex during our training.
In the lead up to the London Marathon we will be running bake sales, quizzes and other events to contribute to our fundraising so watch this space! But as always, anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated and will no doubt give us an extra push during our training!
