We use creativity and self-advocacy to transform disabled people's lives

Story

I'm running (read trotting, then walking, then crawling) 35 miles around Northamptonshire on June the 2nd in aid of CoolTan Arts.

CoolTan are a relatively small charity, run out of South London, who offer people with mental health issues a range of creative workshops. They also offer self-advocacy classes, which teach people how to speak up about their situation, and ask their care team questions like "what drugs am I on?", "why?" and "do I have a choice?".

If you know me then you'll know that these are topics I feel passionately about. We should have way more of them, which makes the total cut in NHS funding that CoolTan suffered recently all the worse.

I reckon it's a cause worth running 35 miles for.

Oh by the way, if I die on the course, no refunds.
