We invest in advanced hospital facilities to save and improve lives

Story

Well, just making it to the start line of this one will be something of a relief! My legs have made it perfectly clear over the first eight months of my running career they want nothing to do with this whole caper, and we're not really on speaking terms any more. But you know what? They're not the boss of me, though, so to reassert my authority over my mutinous ambulatory appendages I'm forcing them to do a 10km race. Because I've just had 6 weeks where I couldn't run at all, I have no target time or anything, I'm just aiming to start running at the start line and not stop until the finish line. :)

Why have I picked Frimley Park Hospital Charity? Because it's a cause that's very important to a dear friend of mine at the moment, and that makes it important to me. They are fundraising for this charity themselves and I wanted to do my bit to help. As it's not a local charity, I genuinely  won't be offended if you'd prefer to give to a national organisation or one more local to show your support. Alternatively, if you'd prefer to wait and sponsor me at a future event for a different charity more directly personal to me, that is fine too.

The charity's Breast Care Appeal is aiming to help diagnose breast cancer early by providing 3D Mammography equipment and a dedicated breast care unit at the hospital. For more information, have a look at http://www.fphcharity.org/.

Anything you can spare, no matter how small, would be massively appreciated.
