Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Our grandfather, Stan, recently passed in December of 2021 and suffered from Parkinson’s disease for the last few years of his life. Parkinson’s is caused by a loss of nerve cells in the brain, and reduces the production of dopamine subsequently. This causes tremors, balance problems, insomnia, memory issues and has mental health effects.

My grandad was my hero, and to see the impact of this disease upon him was incredibly tough, both for his quality of life, and also for us as his family, and his friends. I want to fundraise to hopefully contribute even a tiny bit towards research, care, support and ideally, one day, a cure.
