Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I've been down to watch the London Marathon twice in the four years that I've lived in the city. On both occasions I was so inspired by the runners and their supporters on the day.
In late December I was lucky enough to be offered the opportunity to take part through Sarah Parkes at EYE. I'm now on a 16 week training programme that will see me complete over 300 miles before race day.
It's an exciting challenge that will see me double my furthest distance (half marathon) as well as raise money for a worthy cause.
Anna's Hope is a registered charity set up by Rob and Carole Hughes in memory of their daughter Anna Olivia Hughes. (*take a moment to click on the video below to see Anna).
Anna's Hope assists in the rehabilitation of children and young people who have suffered from a brain tumor or who have had brain surgery.
Your donations will be put immediatley to use by the trustees. Initial donations are spent on funding nursing care, moving to outpatient rehabilitation and then the ultimate goal is to fund research into finding a cure for this 'Forgotten Cancer'.
So please don't pass up this chance, every amount, however large or small is a valuable contribution.
I'll do the easy bit of running the London Marathon, the tough bit is getting the sponsorship in, so please please help as much as you can!
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thank you,
Alex
