I'm running for Macmillan in order to help them keep on offering support to people who are either suffering from a terminal form or who are going through the treatment for a (hopefully) curable form of cancer.

You may or may not be aware that my wife was diagnosed with cervical cancer back in 2008 at a pretty advanced stage. She was one of the fortunate ones and has recently been given the all clear. Hence the reason for choosing Macmillan out of all the other worthy causes out there.

Cancer affects many people and I'm pretty sure you'll know someone either within your family or within your close circle of friends that have lost friends or relatives to this terrible disease and can perhaps also vouch for the wonderful job Macmillan nurses do.

If you could spare even a small amount (a few pounds) it would help greatly and would give me another reason for keeping on going out there pounding the pavements!
