The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

My wife bought me a skydive for my 30th birthday (make of that what you will….she's bumped up the life insurance policy too!), and whilst this is something I've always wanted to do, I thought it would be a good opportunity to raise some money for a great cause, Macmillan Cancer Support.

Dan and Louise Trayling, two of my very best friends, have two kids: Olivia and her little brother Tommy. 6 months ago Tommy was diagnosed with Leukaemia. It goes without saying that Tommy and his family have had an incredibly tough time over the past few months, a difficult journey which has led to Tommy receiving a bone marrow transplant. Tommy's big sister, Olivia, was the brave bone marrow donor.

I don't mean to lay it on thick, but the majority of us probably can't even imagine what the Traylings have gone through and wouldn't know where to start after getting the diagnosis. Fortunately there are a number of fantastic charities that have been a big help to them along the way, and Macmillan have been amazing.

The skydive has been paid for in full - so 100% of the donations go straight to the charity and I would be very grateful for any donations received.
