I am a 19 year old student at Trinity College Dublin. Myself, along with various other students in Trinity are trekking to the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro beginning our journey on the 20th August 2023. I have chosen this challenge to climb Africa's tallest and the world's sixth tallest mountain to raise funds for the Meningitis Research with the Meningitis Research Foundation. We are at the heart of the initiative that is working with the World Health Organisation and leading experts on the disease to tackle meningitis globally. Our intrepid volunteers are taking on this incredible challenge and raising money to help us defeat meningitis and septicaemia by 2030.
