Story
For those of you who may not know me, my names Alex and My daughter was born with congenital heart defects and a chromosomal disorder caller Digeorges syndrome. Hope spent all of her life in NICU/PICU making Glasgow PICU her home after spending most of her short life under they're amazing care
Our journey with Hope involved alot of ups and downs and we created our own Instagram page to help family/friends and others in a similar situation following along with her journey and milestones. (hopes_heart_journey) unfortunately Hope passed away on the 7th of march this year.
I want to tell you how Glasgow children's hospital charity helped us and why I want to raise money for them. GCHC provide NICU mums with ice pack and bags to make expressing possible, they have a programme called V-Create which allowed NICU/PICU staff to send us pictures and videos of hope when we weren't aloud to stay over night. when hope became palliative care and we knew she didn't have much longer GCHC made our last couple weeks more memorable by providing a tv and DVDs to allow us to have movie nights, they provided hand prints and impressions done that day as well as amazing medical illustration photos we could cherish forever. These are just some of the amazing things GCHC do as well as other things listed on their web page; https://www.glasgowchildrenshospitalcharity.org/about-us/news/215-covid-19-our-impact
