Story
I saw an advert on the tube last month. It was advertising luxury beds with the following quote,
"Make sure you are never thrifty when buying shoes or a bed, because you will rarely be out of both".
My days are definately following this pattern! Rarely out of bed or running shoes.
My first great North Run was the 25th annerversary of the event (in 2005), there were 4 people who had run all 25 and they were given gold numbered bibs. I thought that was super cool and so I have made it my goal to keep plodding away and maybe I can reach 25 in 2029.
So please help me to raise funding for AGE UK. I chose AGE UK because In the last few years I have lost my Grandad and Gran, thankfully they had terrific support around them, I just hope that there are charitable organisations like AGE UK around when we hit the ripe old ages of my Grandad Andrews and Gran Collins. For that reason I hope my tiny 'drop in the ocean' efforts at each of the last 6 events, will combine with the other 50,000 drops running in 2010, contunuing the great work and momentum of charities like AGE UK, ensuring they do not run dry!
