The friend in whose memory I am raising money wouldn't want a soppy story, so I shall keep it brief. Anthony Lillis was an utterly humane, decent and public-spirited man. Cruelly struck down by cancer in his early forties, his funeral was attended by hundreds of people from all walks of life. 

This will be my second Maggie's Night Hike in his memory. Having visited the Cheltenham Maggie's Centre I was inspired to do it all over again. It is an incredible resource for Cheltenham - described by one as 'a cushion of love and kindness to fall back on'. It offers advice and support in a relaxed and welcoming environment for anyone living with cancer, including friends and family.
