Story
My brother in law - Peter Brain, was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor at the age of six. Over the course of his life he underwent a series of operations and therapies to battle the disease. In his late teens/early twenties Headway Yeovil provided him with invaluable support. Through the understanding and kindness of staff, and the companionship of fellow clients, Peter was helped immeasurably.
Headway remained an important part of Peter’s life up until the day that he died. Through Headway his days and weeks had a structure and a purpose. However, the amount of serious invasive surgery that Peter went though in his early childhood contributed to his increasing inability to cope with the daily demands of life.
Peter sadly took his life in March, 2008.
Peter was always optimistic and had a wry sense of humour - he is greatly missed. Any money that you could donate would allow this brilliant charity to continue its fantastic work. All money will go directly to Headway Somerset including the Yeovil branch of which Peter was very much a part of.
