Story

My name is ALEX and I am a radiotherapy radiographer working at the Southend radiotherapy department

My granddad ( Vic, keen Cyclist 82), Twin Brother and I (Brent and Alex, couch potatoes, 24) are riding the London to southend to raise money for my radiotherapy department. But not for any reason, hear our story..

2 years ago we lost our Nan and wife to lung cancer. My granddad was by her side in her final days, and since her death he has been determined to rebuild his life. He's an experienced cyclist  and getting on the bike is his escape. No stranger to the bike; years ago He raised 3000 pounds for the Southend radiotherapy department

He decided he wanted to ride the London to Southend this year as he feels he's getting on, and who knows what might happen to him in the future?

I stupidly said that riding the London to Southend would be too easy!.. So he signed my brother and I up! challenging us to finish it.

I thought this was a great opportunity to emulate my granddads money raising capabilities and dedicate this ride to his beloved wife.

So were raising money for the Southend radiotherapy department, and all cancer suffers. Working in radiotherapy I know how much we need your help. !  PLEASE DONATE any little contribution helps
