I was lucky enough to get a place on a 4-man team on the 'Prudential London-Surrey 100' ride on August 4th which uses the same route as the 2012 Olympics road race. It'll be the first time I've ridden 100 miles and the plan is to do it in under 6.5 hours. Fingers crossed.

Although it is not a charity event, I want to use this ride as an opportunity to raise some money for 'Macmillan' who support cancer sufferers and their families. I know their work was greatly appreciated by my dear friend Yvonne, who died last year, and her husband Os. Yvonne was one of the loveliest people you could ever meet, and I loved having her as a friend.
