London Marathon 2018 · 22 April 2018 ·

We are PCD Support UK. We’re here for those affected by PCD, we talk about PCD as widely as possible and we champion research to improve its diagnosis, management and treatment. Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia is a rare, genetic disease (1 in 7,500 people), causing recurrent respiratory infections.

Story

I entered the ballot for the first time and got lucky! Yet to run further than 10K but I'm targeting somewhere between 3.5 and 4 hours for the full marathon. I've been told this is ambitious, but if people are going to support my cause with money, I want to put some effort in.

I'm running for the PCD Family Support Group because being a small charity with less funds, its harder to get the attention it deserves. It's also close to my heart, so I'm going to try to raise £1000. That may also be ambitious, but any help at all will be gratefully received!
