Moto in the Community (MITC) is the charitable arm of Moto Hospitality, the UK’s largest motorway
service area provider.
MITC’s aim is to make a positive impact on the communities around Moto’s sites, and since its’ inception
in 2005, MITC has raised over £7 million for good causes. Here are 7 magnificent things MITC has
achieved in this time:
1. Raised £2.9million for our national partner, Help for Heroes
2. Given over 450 community grants to charities local to Moto sites (over £100,000 in 2019 alone!)
3. Donated 172,000+ new books to schools
4. Partnered with Greggs to deliver 10 school Breakfast Clubs annually, with support in the
holidays and during the pandemic as well. This delivered 95,000 free, nutritious breakfasts last
year, to the families that need it most
5. Work alongside 38 current community partners, across our sites
6. Supported the Woodland Trust and Wildfowl and Wetland Trust with over £500,000 to protect
the natural environment
7. Continued MITC's commitment to young people by supporting the Costa Foundation to
build new classrooms and libraries in coffee-growing nations
