Story
On the 30th March, we are going to have our first major fundraiser of the year to support this year's chosen charity the Hospice of St Francis.
We are aiming to run a total five marathons over the course of the day. The boys in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will run one combined marathon. Then the boys in Years 3 to 8 are going to run one marathon for each of their sections (Highland, Lowlands, Midlands and Uplands).
Why are we running five marathons?
On the 10th April, Mr Eketone, has signed up to run the Brighton Marathon on behalf of the Hospice. He has been training since the beginning of the year and we will be running the Aldwickbury Marathon to support him in his efforts.
We are going to give all of the boys a marathon medal and a certificate to celebrate their efforts in running the Aldwickbury five marathon challenge. It will give them a small idea of how difficult a marathon actually is!
We hope that the whole school community will get behind the boys and Mr Eketone as they raise vital funds for The Hospice of St Francis.
