Story

Quadrathlon Double Header!

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.  I'm taking part in two quadrathlons on 5 and 12 July respectively, in total comprising: swimming 2 miles, running/walking 22 miles(including over 7 munroes), kayaking 12 miles and biking 72 miles, all in aid of the Alex Roberts-Miller Foundation which raises money to provide educational, sporting and social opportunities for disadvantaged young people.

More details of the two events and the Foundation are below.  Any donations would be much appreciated!

'Norfolk Super Hero Challenge' on 5 July.  With team member Al Vere-Nicoll, we will be:

• Swimming 1 mile from Scolt Head Island to Overy Quay
• Kayaking 5 miles round Overy creek, past Scolt Head and back to Overy Quay
• Cycling 38 miles round North Norfolk
• Running 7 miles from Overy Staithe to Holkham beach and back again

Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon, 'Scotland's toughest one-day event', on 12 July.  With team member Fraser Thorne, we will be:

• Swimming 1 mile across Loch Tay
• Run/walking 15 miles up and down 7 munroes (each 1000+ metres)
• Kayaking 7 miles down Loch Tay
• Cycling 34 miles round Loch Tay
Then:
• Slicing a melon in two with a sword (really!)

Alex Roberts-Miller was a close friend of mine at university, who was tragically killed in 2002 by a hit-and-run driver.  The Foundation provides educational, sporting and social opportunities for disadvantaged young people. The Foundation is run by unpaid volunteers so 100% of donations received go to charity.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Alex Roberts-Miller Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
