Action for Carers Oxfordshire is a charity that offers information, advice and support to unpaid adult carers of adults across Oxfordshire. Carers Oxfordshire has built up a national reputation for reaching and supporting carers in innovative ways in a short time.

By identifying carers much earlier in their caring lives and ensuring they are in contact with preventive services, the service aims to reduce the likelihood of crises and carer breakdown. The Carers Support service provides Face to face support in the community. It supports carers to complete carer’s assessments, to access information, advice and support for those who find it difficult to get away from home due to their caring responsibility. It facilitates free training for carers - Confidence to Care; Moving and Handling and First Aid courses which provide advice and teaches enabling skills. Peer support groups in the community provide social opportunities for carers and access to information and demonstrations. Our Well-being offer includes health checks with pharmacies, access to activities and events, supports good well-being and helps carers to have a life of their own.

Carers Oxfordshire is a working name of Action for Carers (Oxfordshire) which is a local independent charity, working with and for all adult carers of adults throughout the county. We are members of the Age UK Oxfordshire family.
