Story

Hi All,

I have been given at late notice a place for this years "Virgin London Marathon", and I'm running for the "Everyman" campaign which raises money for prostate and testicular cancer.

This is a real challenge as I have just six and a half weeks of training and have not done any serious running for a year.

I am also riddled with injuries: Bad back, knackered knees, tissue damage in left ankle, permanently broken collar bone and a broken heart etc etc

Anyhow this email is to ask for you to please please please donate a few quid, its a fantastic charity and is part of the institute of cancer, (http://everyman-campaign.org/ ) it raises money to help with sufferers of prostate and testicular cancer. (in layman's terms cancer in your willy and botty) which kills more than one man every hour in the UK.

If you wish to sponsor me then please follow the instructions on this page and remember to click the gift aid bit as you get tax relief, it doesn't matter how little you contribute, it all counts!

Thanks in advance!

Al.

PS, depending on how much money is raised, I could be bribed into running in fancy dress, I do have a mankini (the borat outfit) at home if a large amount is raised!

Everyman is an appeal run by The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR). Every year some 10,000 men lose their lives to prostate cancer and over 2,000 others have their world turned upside down by a diagnosis of testicular cancer. These men are the reason we are fundraising for male specific cancers.
