In 2015, I will be undertaking the National Three Peaks Challenge as part of a team from my office.
We will be climbing the highest Peaks in Scotland, England and Wales, within 24 hours, including driving between them.
The challenge will start with Ben Nevis in Scotland, before Moving on to Scafell Pike in England, and finishing on Snowdon in Wales.
It is a total hiking distance of 23.5 miles and 462 miles driving.
The Dame Vera Lynn Trust for Children with Cerebral Palsy provides a specialist service for families of young children with cerebral palsy and other motor learning difficulties. All our services are provided free of charge. We receive no statutory funding and rely entirely on the support of the community to raise the funds to ensure that this vital and much needed service can continue. We do this through organised events, community events, corporate support, trusts, collections and donations.
Families attend one session a week at School for Parents and parents are taught to recognise their child's unique qualities and achievements. Parents are able to talk openly to each other about their child's activities, sharing an understanding of each other's situation. The emphasis is to be able to provide strong practical support for all parents who have children with special needs in a mutually and sympathetic environment.
