Story

Hi folks.

Last year I thought it was about time I did something about rebalancing the ratio between my fitness and the size of my belly. After six months or so of weekly swims I have gone from needing to take a breather after 4 lengths to knocking out a mile comfortably.

The focus of this has been the Great North Swim which is a mile open water swim across Lake Windermere.

I'm told it's traditional to raise money for charity during these events, so I've chose to fundraise for the Martin House Hospice.  To quote...

Martin House Hospice care for Children and Young People with progressive life limiting illnesses, and provide support to their families. We are based in our purpose built hospice in Boston Spa, Wetherby and care for children and young people from throughout the Yorkshire region.

I know you are inundated with donation requests but would ask you to support this worthwhile cause.

Many thanks!
