Story
Once a year, I ask my friends and family to support me in raising money for charity. In the past, you have been really generous. Please be again! Charities have been really hit by Covid and need our support more than ever. I am fed up with this nasty virus; I want to put it behind me and help get charities and medicine back on track.
I am one of many taking part in a bonkers event called "Raid Local" for socially-distanced times, cycling 3700m [12,000 feet] vertical ascent in one day, on my local roads, all to raise money for a fantastic charity, The Cure Parkinson's Trust. Finding a hill anywhere in Cambridgeshire has not been easy! So, I will go up and down Great Chishill Hill 42 times.
Any of us could get Parkinson's disease, which disrupts movement and takes away what we take for granted. By donating to my Raid Local page, you will help to fund CPTs research with potential to slow, stop or reverse Parkinson's. I am the Chair of the Research Committee of the charity. So, I can tell you from first hand that the research they fund is of the highest standard and ambition.
Thank you.
