Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The inspiration behind my sister and I completing the 2012 Greater Manchester 10K lies with my nephew Nathan (sisters son). Nathan was diagnosed with autism at 4 years old and is a superb, loving child who brightens our world. Autism is known as "the triad of impairment" that affects social interaction, social communication and imagination. Research has found that approximately 1 in a 100 people in the UK (around half a million) suffer with this serious, lifelong and disabling condition. Including their families and carers, autism touches the lives of around 2 million people every day. By completing the Greater Manchester run we hope to spread awareness of autism and help educate people about the condition.

Donating through this JustGiving site is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now. Anything you can find would be absolutely fantastic. God Bless.
