After last year’s failed effort to get myself fit through a Couch to 5k app, I have started again and this time with the target of completing the Yeovil Hospital Charity Fun 5k which takes place on the 21^stof September at Yeovil Showground.

Why? 

Well my lovely wife Amanda once ran in aid of Cancer Research and last week my lovely sister Lisette was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. So this is a damned good cause.

I hope that you can sponsor me, but I must warn you that I may encounter my own difficulties in completing this Fun Run. As many of you know I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in 2018 and after an operation in November it appears that my PSA has risen again and I am being referred for Radiotherapy treatment. I do not know when this will start, but I will aim to get myself in a position to do the Fun Run on 21^st September – even if I have to walk it!

If for some reason I am unable to take part then my elder daughter Sarah has volunteered to run in my place - she is a good sort.
