Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is the only national charity dedicated solely to beating pancreatic cancer through research. Survival rates are low, so new research is vital. In the past, this cancer received little attention. With your help, we can change this so more people beat pancreatic cancer.

Story

Alan Livesey was loved by many. He was married to Stella for 54 happy years and loved both his family and life.  Alan was famous for his sense of humour, his lifelong devotion to Manchester United and his beautiful garden. He always thought of others before himself and spread humour, kindness and warmth. He was the life and soul of the party and his adoring grandaughters Emily and Lexie would chase him round the garden and the dancefloor.

Alan was lucky to lead a long & healthy life but became ill at the end of 2013 and was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January.  Like 50% of pancreatic cancer sufferers, he was diagnosed at A&E, too late to receive anything but palliative care.  He passed away just 6 weeks later at home with his family.

Thank you so much for donating in Alan's memory.  With love and thanks,  Stella, Catherine and Claire xx
