Alan & Derek Walk the West Highland Way

As some of you may have heard, my Gran sadly passed away earlier this year and is sorely missed by the whole family. She had a great love of the Scottish countryside and at the age of 50 completed a 96 mile walk of the West Highland Way from my hometown of Milngavie on the outskirts of Glasgow to Fort William.
Having discussed with the family, we thought it would be a fitting tribute for me to follow in her footsteps and in doing so to also raise funds for the British Heart Foundation in the hope that this may help others whose lives have been affected by heart disease.
This will be my second time walking this route across Scotland however my dad, Derek has also decided to join me on this occasion and although he has covered many miles on foot around Scotland and further afield, this will be his first time on the West Highland Way.
Should you wish to support us by making a donation, this would be hugely appreciated and will make all the blisters, sore legs and viciously unforgiving midge attacks we'll encounter along the way a great deal more bearable!
