A team of 12 FFT runners take to the streets of Hackney to raise awareness of and funds for Freedom from Torture. Torture tries to destroy lives - WE won't let it

Story

I am taking to the streets of Hackney this May to raise awareness of & funds for Freedom from Torture. I want to give survivors of torture their voice back & a road to recovery. Survivors like Marsha, who says: "I was detained. They alleged I had information against the government to pass to my father. Over the next two days, they did everything to get me to talk about whatever they wanted to know. At Freedom from Torture, I found my passion for life again. After a long time, I feel confident again; that life is not over yet. Sharing a meal with members of the Write to Life group, writing and thinking about various topics, learning from each others struggle and pain, getting advice from mentors regarding life, career and writing have all restored the meaning in my life. I always feel the peace and positive vibe of the organization." Full story - https://www.freedomfromtorture.org/real-voices/my-name-is-marsha-and-this-is-my-story
